ROLLER DERBY SEASON POSTERS

While playing roller derby with the Brewcity Bruisers, I was also on the Web & Design Committee. My main responsibility was to design the poster theme for the season, which included producing deliverables for posters, handouts, programs, bus ads, and website assets. To make the concept stand out, I followed three main rules: Bright colors, featuring players prominently, and using a bold, eye-catching font.
The chosen concept was comic book-inspired, using bright colors, halftone graphics, speech bubbles, and action graphics to accentuate the high-energy sport of roller derby. I picked the best action shots of players and edited them to stand out from the background, creating a consistent visual that reinforced our league's brand.
The result was an impactful and memorable visual that attracted the audience with energy, action, and attitude, just like the sport.
